Polyunsaturated Fats Defined
May help lower blood cholesterol. They contain essential fats (that cannot be manufactured in the body) and are found mainly in vegetable oils such as safflower, sunflower, corn and soybean. Fish and nuts (eg. almonds) are a great source of polyunsaturated fats.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - In a study of middle-aged adults, maintaining a diet high in linoleic acid -- the main dietary polyunsaturated fatty acid found in certain plants and vegetables -- seemed to lower the risk of developing high blood pressure.
